Admission requirements
- Master of Medicine obtained at an university acknowledged by its respective country regulation
- Specialization degree in Ophthalmology obtained according to current regulation
Tuition fees 2010
The fees cover tuition, course material, lunches (at USI canteen) and lodging at partner hotels.
The fees for one week, are
First Module, Fourth Module

The fee is paid with one single advanced installment, usually 30-45 days prior to the beginning of the module. Differed payments for each individual module are not foreseen.
Method of payment
Successful candidates receive a formal letter of acceptance from the ESASO Administration.
The amount of the fee may be then credited to the a bank account: After commencement of the module to which the participant has been admitted, the relative fee will not be reimbursed in case of renunciation.
Application package
The application package, to be sent in a Portable Document Format (pdf) files, will include:
- Application form (to be completed in full)
- Curriculum vitae
- Letter of recommendation
- Diplomas (official transcripts or notarized copies)
- Passport copy
- Passport picture (electronic)
- Participants whose tuition fees are paid by their institution or company must submit a certificate of sponsorship (as evidence of financial support).
Deadline for the application
- October 31st, 2009 for the first module (18th January – 23rd January, 2010)
- March 31st, 2010 for the second modules A & B (31st May - 12th June, 2010)
- March 31st, 2010 for the third module (14th June - 19th June, 2010)
- June 30th, 2010, for the fourth Module (30th August – 3rd September, 2010)
Late applications may be accepted within the limits of available places: 25 participants per week.
