Born and resident of Thessaloniki.Graduated from the Aristotelio University  –Medical Department.

He did his postgraduate studies (fellowship) at the Hospital of Addenbrook Cambridge England on the retina diseases with Mr J.D.Scott, on glaucoma with Mr J.D.Cairns and on inflammations with Mr P.Watson.

Attended Moorefield Eye Hospital and the St. Thomas Hospital in London on Lasers in Ophthalmology and on the retina surgery of fiant tears.

Attended the Rotterdam Clinic Center with Mr Rellyo Zivojnoviz, as a representative of the Cambridge Hospital.

Senior registrar at Adenbrooks Hospital and assistant at the King College.

Organized and directed the Retina department of St.Dimitrios Hospital of Thessaloniki and he became Vice Director in the Ophthalmological clinic of the St.Dimitrios Hospital.

At this time he is Chairman at the Ophthalmological clinic of Papanikolaou Hospital of Thessaloniki and General Secretary of the Greek Ophthalmological Federation.

He became 3times President of the Northern Greek Ophthalmological society, President of the Greek Ophthalmological Federation, twice President of the Greek Retina Society Board member and G. Secretary of the European Vitreoretinal Society (EVRS).

Coordinator and instructor for European Vitreoretinal Society, Vitreoretinal School of Bremen Euretina, World Congress in Hong Kong ,and Euretina and ASRS in Hawaii.
